Transformation Big Market Groningen has started
Beginning of September the construction on the eastside of the big Market in Groningen will start. Groninger Forum, designed by NL Architects, will be built here.
First of all the old Workman School will be demolished. In the first 6 months of 2012 the construction will start of the new student union Vindicat, designed by De Zwarte Hond. In the second part of 2012 they will already start the realisation of new parking garages at the eastside.
The construction of all the other buildings on the east side and the Groniger Forum is planned for 2014.
The total project will be complete in 2017.
