The competition design for Hortus Transvaal has been made with Priva, Nobutec, the Kessler foundation and the Schrijnen Group. It proposes to re-use the Reygate in The Haque by building a greenhouse on top. The design refers to the winter gardens and orangery's of the 19th century. The 10 meters high green house investigates the possibility of intensive use. Along the façade from top till bottom plants grow leaving in the centre along the entire height a hall that enriches the neighborhood with a green and particular meeting place.
